The Claddagh Ring
The story of the Claddagh Ring dates from the 1600's, when in the ancient fishing village of Claddagh  (pronounced "Cladah" ) on Galway Bay, it was used as a wedding ring.

The hands signify friendship, the crown is for loyalty and the heart is for love.

Wear the ring with the heart facing in
if your heart is taken,
if it's not taken wear it with the heart facing out.
